SAN ANTONIO – University of the Incarnate Word track and field welcomes Kallie Morrison, Jada Green and John Ulbricht to the Cardinal family.
Kallie Morrison
Morrison joins UIW from Judson Veterans Memorial High School. The San Antonio native boasts 100m and 200m personal records of 12.04 and 24.10 respectively. Morrison finished fourth at the 2021 Texas State championship in the 200m and also competes with the One Nation Athletics Club team during the summer season.
"Kallie is ready to make some noise holding down the 200/400m and both sprint relays for the Cardinal Women," said assistant coach Rosemary Dupree.
Jada Green
Green joins the Cardinals from LA Vernia High School. Green represented La Vernia in the Texas UIL 4A State Championships in the 100-meter race in 2019 and 2021 and in the 200-meter race in 2021. Green ran for a personal record of 11.85 at the 2021 Texas State Championship 100-meter race. She also ran a personal record in the 200-meter at the State Championship, running 24.85.
"Green will be the silent weapon leaving a mark in the 100/200m & 4X1 relay respectively. I'm excited about the contributions both athletes will have from the start," said assistant coach Rosemary Dupree.
John Ulbricht
Joins the Cardinal family from Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch Texas. At Smithson Valley Ulbricht was a member of the National Honor Society, volunteered with Family and Community Service where he went to elementary and middle schools to mentor at risk youth. Ulbricht will compete in the pole vault and hurdler events. In high school, he had a personal record of 14'9 which placed him third in the Region as a junior.  He is also a member of the Lone Star Pole Vault Club where he registered a 15'2 personal record. Ulbricht also runs the 300-meter hurdle where he ran a personal best of 42.20 in his junior year. Ulbricht is interested in studying Engineering at UIW.
"We are extremely happy to have a high-level person like Jonah committing to UIW. He comes from a UIW Cardinal family who have shown him how to be a champion on and off the track. Adding him to the talented men's PV group should push that group to the top 25 in the nation. He will also add depth to our highly talented hurdle group as well," said assistant coach Blair Sohl.
